Somalia’s Hirshabelle state administration on Monday evening arrested 17 merchants for allegedly meeting with Alshabaab leaders, journalist reviews.
A resident in Jowhar informed Journalist on situation of anonymity that the merchants met with the militants at Gamboole village, 50 kilometres west of Jowhar, the executive capital of Hirshabelle.
They have been arrested at Jowhar city entry Police checkpoint on their approach again.
Experiences say that the merchants went to Gamboole on orders from Alshabaab and that a few of them have notified the native administration of the identical.
