The United Arab Emirates grants $ 1 billion


Felix Tshisekedi is currently making a rewarding trip to the United Arab Emirates, where the Democratic Republic of Congo will benefit from a billion dollars in investment. The announcement was made on Sunday by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyane. An envelope that should be specially invested in the mining sector.

During his meeting, Emirati leader and President Tshisekedi examined investment opportunities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The choice is very wide, between infrastructures, mines, energy, health or even security and defense.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has also announced a donation of 30 tactical armored weapons. They are intended to support Congo-Kinshasa in the fight against terrorism, especially in the East. With this donation of military equipment, Félix Tshisekedi hopes to put an end to the security crisis in the eastern provinces, while accelerating his development projects.

And it relies on several bilateral and multilateral partners such as the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the International Monetary Fund. Kinshasa has also recently benefited from $ 1.5 billion in budget support from the IMF.
