Central African Republic: UN withdraws Gabonese peacekeepers

In this edition, hundreds of Gabonese peacekeepers are withdrawn from CAR following the latest allegations of sexual abuse. Gabon says the most recent accusation is exceptionally serious. In addition, dozens of civic groups in Uganda have been suspended. Many human rights defenders say this is part of a model of repression. And South Africa’s largest rhino breeder is pushing to sell the horns it legally cuts from its animals to keep poachers at bay.
