UN cancels humanitarian flight after airstrikes in Tigray


We bring you the latest news from Ethiopia, where the conflict is escalating. For the fourth day of this week, the government launched an airstrike on the capital of the Tigray region. The bombing forced a United Nations humanitarian flight to abandon its landing in the capital.

We are also heading to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as two large groups of workers – teachers and port workers are on strike. Hundreds of workers at the state-owned port corporation stormed its headquarters, furious at being owed years of pay.
