Benin: a dumping ground turned into a forest


In the PK10 district of Cotonou, a non-governmental organization, TAMAEE (Earth, Air, Sea, Actions, Childhood & Environment), undertook to remove lots of debris that strewn the ground and beach to replace them with coconut plantations. The cleaning took 6 months. The area children participated in it and every tree planted on this land bears the name of one of them. Sandra Idossou is with us in La Vie ici.
