This radiation therapy center will treat several types of cancer, with a capacity of sixty patients per day, according to project coordinator Djakaridja Hema Ouattara.

To cure cancer through radiation therapy, Burkinabè patients were evacuated from the country. This type of treatment is the leading cause of medical evacuation in Burkina Faso.

Although they say they are happy with the opening of this new center, patients say they are worried about the cost of treatment.
