After introducing the vaccination passport a few weeks ago for all those who have been fully vaccinated, the Togolese government will require it at its borders and this, for all countries that have adopted it.

The note is dated July 22 and bears the signature of the Secretary – General of the Togolese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is aimed at ambassadors and heads of Togo’s diplomatic missions abroad. She asks them to inform the countries in their respective jurisdictions that Togo has created a vaccination certificate based on a QR code for everyone who has completed their vaccination series in the country.
Measures are therefore taken to ensure that the certificate is reciprocal with countries adopting the introduction of a vaccination certificate.

Specifically, this means that entry into Togolese territory since 22 July, the date of signature of this letter, is subject to a negative PCR test against Covid-19 lasting less than seven days. The Togolese authorities also require a modern international vaccination certificate in accordance with International Health Regulations (IHR) and a digital and verifiable Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
Finally, the note specifies that Togo at its borders does not currently recognize the certificate of cure for those who have received the coronavirus.
