MOGADISHU, Somalia – The main Salaam Somali Bank has provided free microfinance to small businesses as part of the Qardu Hassan program which aims to uplift the country’s budding traders.

On Sunday, January 9, the bank’s branch at Suuq Ba’ad in Mogadishu provided free microfinance to dozens of men and women who run small businesses in the city.

Recipients of Salaam Somali Bank’s free microfinance fund said they were grateful and extremely happy to receive the support that could help them achieve their business goals.
