The British ambassador strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU ( AXADLE) – Britain strongly condemns the terrorist attack carried out in Mogadishu on Thursday and stands with the victims and their families.

The British Ambassador to Somalia, Kate Foster, said: “We are deeply saddened by the horrific attack in Mogadishu today, and our sincere condolences go out to those affected.”

At least 10 people were killed and 20 others injured, including civilians, after a car bomb exploded at an African Union mission in Somalia on Thursday in Mogadishu’s Hodan district.

The militant group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.

“Somalis deserve to live without terrorism and our determination to support Somalia in meeting this threat is unwavering. We will continue to help fight terrorism, and we are determined to support a more peaceful and secure future for all people in Somalia.” said Ambassador Foster.
