Fiorentina star striker Dusan Vlahovic has told the club that he will not be forced to move until he is ready to do so.
Vlahovic is one of the most sought after strikers in world football and Fiorentina are open to selling him this month if they receive a fee of around 80 million euros (66 million pounds).
Arsenal are currently in talks with Fiorentina and are ready to meet their financial demands, but Vlahovic is not convinced that a move to the Emirates Stadium is the right one for him.
Fiorentina are trying to pressure him to take the step and have been enormously loud this week about the prospect of him leaving. In fact, CEO Joe Barone told Sport Mediaset: “There is talk of Dusan Vlahovic every day now.
“We just want to talk about the squad. We have already said so much about him, we expect a response from him and his entourage about what the future has to offer.

Transition rumors: PSG in Mbappe contract talks, Vlahovic near Arsenal
Upload rumors from January 15, including updates on Kylian Mbappe, Dusan Vlahovic, Ousmane Dembele & Arthur Melo.
“I had a long conversation with Dusan the other day and I told him we have to understand his way. If he wants to stay in Fiorentina, sign the contract. If he wants to leave, say it publicly. He can not put an entire club, “city and fan base and wait for him. From what I have heard he is not prepared to say, so we have to make our decision within the club.”
These comments were followed by President Rocco Commisso, who told the Financial Times that Vlahovic should “acknowledge” the role Fiorentina has played in his development.
But despite Fiorentina’s comments, 90min understands that Vlahovic’s stance remains the same – he is convinced he will not be forced to make a decision he is not happy with.
Arsenal continue their search but realize that the chances of attracting Vlahovic to London are becoming increasingly difficult – so much so that they appreciate that a deal in January is their best chance to land him.
Vlahovic’s preference continues to fluctuate over the summer as it will open up the market in terms of alternatives. Juventus are long-time fans while there is interest from Atletico Madrid and PSG.
The interest from England is also great, with Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham all keeping an eye on his situation.
