How to watch Leicester City vs Legia Warsaw

Leicester enter the group stage of the Europa League with Legia Warsaw wanting to avenge their defeat against the same opponent on match day two.

The Foxes have endured an awesome season so far and despite being tipped as favorites to move on, they end up at the bottom of the table.

But because things are so close, a victory would put them right in the fight to qualify on the way to the final match of the group stage.

The big headline from the Leicester camp is that Rodgers will be without the star man Youri Tielemans. The midfielder remains sidelined with a betting problem and will not return until the middle of next month.

Once again, Ricardo Pereira can miss after suffering an injury in training, while James Justin and Wesley Fofana are still recovering from prolonged shocks.

Former Southampton, Celtic and Bournemouth stopper Artur Boruc has a back injury and will not play.

There is also bad news for all Leicester fans hoping to catch a glimpse of former Fox Bartosz Kapustka. He wrote in 2016 to great fanfare and was really seen at King Power Stadium and will not play here either, as he is injured.

Leicester: Flattery; Amartey, Soyuncu, Evans; Castagne, Ndidi, Soumare, Thomas; Maddison; Daka, Iheanacho

Legia Warszawa: Miszta; Jedrzejczyk, Johansson, Wieteska; Ribeiro, Slisz, Kharatin, Martins, Mladenovic; Kastrati; Emreli

The only time these two sides have met before was on match day two where Legia triumphed 1-0, thanks to a blow in the first half from Mahir Emreli.

Leicester spent most of the match fighting to break down their hosts’ stubborn resistance, although things could have ended differently if Ayoze Perez and Jannik Vestergaard had converted two absolute sitters.

Group C is well prepared and Leicester know that less than three points would probably make them leave the Europa League in the group stage this season.

Under normal circumstances, foxes should be able to get the job done without too much difficulty. However, something has been very wrong at King Power Stadium this season, so do not expect Rodger’s accusations to make Thursday’s opponents easily accessible.

But in the end, Leicester’s superior resources should be enough to get them across the border, which could lead to an appetizing final match against Napoli.

Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Legia Warsaw
