Inter: Predicted lineup against Venezia

Inter travel to face newly promoted Venice in Serie A this weekend, thanks to their latest undefeated run.

The victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the middle of the week sealed their development to the knockout stages of the Champions League, making it eight games without a loss since their 3-1 reverse against Lazio in mid-October.

Last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 victory over second-placed champions Napoli narrowed the gap at the top of Serie A to four points, and Inzaghi hopes his team continues its momentum ahead of a hectic match list in December.

Samir Handanovic (GK) – Made a nice reaction save to deny Napoli a late equalizer last weekend.

Milan Skriniar (CB) – Robust and nonsense, the Slovak national team player is the heart of this Inter side.

Stefan de Vrij (CB) – Inzaghi will be keen to get the Dutchman back on the pitch after missing the last few matches with a hamstring problem.

Alessandro Bastoni (CB) – Blossomed into a talented defender in recent seasons at Inter.

Matteo Darmian (RWB) – A two-way threat on the right side, with his attacking qualities proving to be crucial for Inter.

Arturo Vidal (CM) – The former Juventus midfielder could replace Nicolo Barella, who was able to rest.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) – The fulcrum of this Inter side, capable of receiving with the back to play and spread the ball wide to the wingbacks.

Hakan Calhanoglu (CM) – Question marks when he was forced from Milan as a free agent, but the Turkish national team player has hit the ground through the city.

Ivan Perisic (LWB) – The Croatian has been formed into a very effective full-back at Inter, which impressed in the midweek win against Shakhtar.
