Leeds United vs Liverpool team news, livestream and more

Two of the Premier League’s top teams go to the top on Monday night when Leeds meet Liverpool on Elland Road.

A victory over Man City last time kept Leeds’ weak hopes for European football alive, while Liverpool seem to have discovered their winning touch after a collapse after Christmas cost them their title defense.

Both sides have won three games on the spin, but their defense is vulnerable, so there should be goals.

Here’s everything you need to know before another meeting between two of English football’s heavyweights.

Leeds have captain Liam Cooper suspended after his straight red card in his victory over Manchester City. Brazilian winger Raphinha – without a doubt their seasonal player so far – is facing a late fitness test after heading out against City.

Rodrigo will also miss when he continues his recovery after a muscular problem, but Jack Harrison returns after missing out on his parent club.

There are doubts about Curtis Jones’ condition after the 20-year-old missed Aston Villa and Real Madrid. Otherwise, Liverpool have no new injuries.

Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips are expected to start instead of their first-backs, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip completely out for the season. However, captain Jordan Henderson is still weeks away from a potential return.

You will not find many harder games to call than this. Both sides are in strong form, but are defensively vulnerable, so it should be a good guard for neutrals.

After beating the selected champions last time, Leeds will consider finding the back of the net once or twice. But the consequence has been their weakness this season, and they are facing a Liverpool team that is starting to work properly.

A Liverpool win … but only.

Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Liverpool
