Leicester predicted the line-up against Napoli

Leicester City’s dramatic group stage in the Europa League comes to an end on Thursday as they travel to face Serie A high-flyers Napoli.

As we enter the final match day, all four teams in Group C can still advance to the knockout stages, and things could not be much closer.

Unfortunately for Brendan Rodgers, he still has a thin squad to choose from due to a combination of Covid-19, other illness and injuries. Here is start-XI he probably seems to choose to get the job done …

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) – Schmeichel has come in for criticism recently due to his stubborn kicks and low save percentage. However, he still starts on Thursday.

Timothy Castagne (RB) – With Ricardo Pereira and James Justin still missing, Castange will continue in the right-back position.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB) – One of only four Leicester players not to miss a Europa League match this season, he will start again here.

Jonny Evans (CB) – Jannik Vestergaard and Daniel Amartey have not traveled so Evans is expected to complete a full 90 minutes in Italy.

Luke Thomas (LB) – Thomas seems to have established himself as Leicester’s first left back before the summer arrival Ryan Bertrand – who has done a bit of listing so far.

Boubakary Soumare (CM) – Lost to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall during the defeat against Aston Villa on Sunday, the more controlled Soumare will return here.

Wilfred Ndidi (CM) – Expelled in the reverse match, Ndidi has one point to prove against Napoli.

James Maddison (AM) – Maddison has a rich form and he has already scored goals and assisted twice in the Europa League this season. If his team is to succeed on Thursday, he will be the key.

Kelechi Iheanacho (RW) – With most of Leicester’s other wide options out there, Iheanacho will likely be shunted out to the wing here.

Jamie Vardy (ST) – Rested ahead of the Villa loss with an eye on this match, Vardy must bring his slippers to Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Harvey Barnes (LW) – Barnes is such an exciting player but he needs to increase his productivity to help his side stop the slump.
