Dom Telford, one of the forerunners of English football, took center stage at Newport’s excellent form in October.
He started slowly with just one goal in three games and broke out alive in the club’s last three games – with seven in his next three games. Staples against Carlisle and Bristol Rovers got Telford started, before hitting a hat trick and assist in the 5-0 draw by Stevenage.

Former Hibernian right-back Tom James showed his class in October with some great performances for the Orient.
James not only helped Kenny Jackett’s men keep a clean sheet but also scored two goals – scoring against Port Vale and Hartlepool.

Walsall got a real boost in form in October and George Miller was largely responsible for the rapid turnaround.
On loan from Championship fighters Barnsley, Miller showed what he is all about at League Two level – highlighted by the braces against both Exeter and Barrow.

Port Vale have established themselves as one of the favorites for promotion from League Two and Tom Conlon has been crucial to their success.
Conlon scored three goals and two assists in October and put the man of the match against Crawley where he took one of each in a resounding 4-1 win.

Veteran midfielder Robert Milsom has been in good shape for newly promoted Sutton, who is making a real promotion.
The former Fulham man was not only included in the goal record twice, he also took three assists in October – which shows that he still has a lot of life left.
