What a month it was for Mohamed Salah.

In just four games for Liverpool, Salah scored five goals – three of which came after the Reds’ historic 5-0 defeat to Manchester United – while recording with assists against Watford, Manchester City and Brighton.

He also scored this season’s goals against Watford and City, with many speculating that he is the best player in the world right now.

David Moyes’ East End revolution showed no sign of giving up in October when West Ham took impressive victories over Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

The key to their success has been Captain Declan Rice’s all action shows. The 22-year-old has added goals to his game and perfectly complements his superb defensive qualities, and he has been the leading player for the Hammers in the last four games.

We already knew that Manchester City and England’s Phil Foden were a special talent, but his superb performances in the role of fake nine have further emphasized how good he is.

His crown at work in October came in City’s delightful 4-1 victory in Brighton, where Foden scored two goals, an assist and the award man of the match.

Scoring one goal per game from right-back requires a bit of work, but that’s exactly what Chelsea’s Reece James achieved in October.

James got a fantastic position against Newcastle to highlight his month, but he also gave a huge balance to his team’s defense – and helped Thomas Tuchel’s Blues keep a clean sheet in each of his three appearances.

James is not the only Chelsea player who has had an outstanding month – the back partner in crime, Ben Chiwell, has also been outstanding.

Remarkably, he also scored three goals after taking back his place in the team from Marcos Alonso, and the only goal the Blues conceded in October was a penalty to Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.

Crystal Palace have been one of the surprise packages during the Premier League season so far and October has been the month where they have really started.

Their star man has been Conor Gallagher, whose energy and creativity in the middle of the park has been a joy to see. He saved his best performance in the end, and registered a goal and an assist when the Eagles surprisingly beat Manchester City on their own note.
