The Premier League announces new dates for 3 postponed matches


The Premier League has confirmed the rescheduled dates for three matches postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Omicron variant of coronavirus has caused chaos with the top schedule in England with almost 20 matches suspended.

Although the fate of many of these matches is still uncertain, the Premier League provided some clarity on New Year’s Eve and announced new dates for Southampton against Brentford, Everton against Leicester and West Ham against Norwich City.

The former, which was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 18, will now take place on Tuesday, January 11. The Saints will hope to continue their latest good form while Brentford will try to secure a rare away win.

Everton vs Leicester, originally scheduled for Sunday 19 December, has also been postponed. It will now also take place on Tuesday 11 January.

Finally, West Ham and Norwich have also been informed that their meeting will now take place on Wednesday 12 January.

The Premier League announced the new dates along with the TV selections for the last two weeks of play in February.
