The stakes could not have been higher for Damir Kreilach and Real Salt Lake. In the final minute of Decision Day, RSL needed to break a draw with rival Sporting KC and secure three points to advance to the off-season. Kreilach took a bike pass in front of the goal and dug it down to win a clutch victory and speed up the Western Conference Final. A truly unforgettable moment.

Dairon Asprilla scored an incredible cycling goal for the Portland Timbers against the San Jose Earthquakes. After a short tussle with the defender, Asprilla finally tucked the ball home. All the defense could do was see when the ball went past the line, a really great shot.

In the MLS Cup playoffs, Eric Miller of Nashville SC sent in a perfectly placed post to the well-known forward Hany Mukhtar, when the Sudanese star scored on a nod. The Norwegian star knocked in this goal from far outside the box with an incredible angle, silenced a crowded house in Atlanta and made the match equal.

One of MLS ‘brightest stars, Martinez bounced back in 2021 after an injured campaign in 2020. Martinez bounced the ball back and scored on a 360-degree shot off goal, giving his team the lead on the road and helping secure a playoff spot for Atlanta United.

While not the most technical goal on this list, Philadelphia Union’s youngster Jack McGlyn’s penalty kick came after the season against Nashville SC on the biggest of the stage. With a chance to advance his team in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the 18-year-old lined up and scored with the season at stake, sending the union to the next round after Nashville failed to score for the fourth time in the PKs. An incredible moment for such a young player with “ice in his veins.”

Nashville SC’s CJ Sapong scored a sliding goal from just inside the box after a 360-degree turn against Orlando City in August. The MLS veteran removed a pass and took it along the field to put his team in the lead 1-0. Sapong scored 12 goals in the 2021 campaign.
