Tottenham predicted the line-up against Morecambe

Tottenham host League One team Morecambe on Sunday afternoon, hoping to launch their FA Cup campaign in style.

Spurs fell to their first domestic defeat under Antonio Conte last time out, and were outplayed by a strong Chelsea team in the first part of their Carabao Cup semi-final meeting. However, the outfit in north London is generally strong and looks good on its way into a decisive period in the race for the Champions League qualifier.

However, they will temporarily turn their attention to FA Cup issues in order to defeat a Morecambe team that is struggling in its first campaign in the third tier. This is how Spurs can line up for this.

Pierluigi Gollini (GK) – With a certain rotation expected, we could see the Italian goal scorer replace the skipper Hugo Lloris between the sticks.Japhet Tanganga (CB) – Has only been to Spurs once in three previous games but should get a second straight start in this one.Joe Rodon (CB) – Has ended up a bit during this term and has only played 78 minutes of Premier League action so far, but should expect a few minutes in the FA Cup.Tobi Omole (CB) – Was called to the senior side’s bench three times this season but, after consistently strong performances in Premier League 2 for U23-year-olds, it may be time for a senior debut.

Matt Doherty (RWB) – Emerson Royal seems to have this place nailed for league issues, but since Conte could rotate we should see the Irishman start for a second straight match.Harvey White (CM) – Youngsters should be given a chance against Morecambe so White, who has 11 goalscorers in Premier League 2 in 14 games this semester, can start. Tanguy Ndombele (CM) – Has not been a favorite since Conte’s introduction to Tottenham’s dugout, but should be set for a start in this one.

Ryan Sessegnon (LWB) – Has been absent with injury for a few weeks but can return to action in what should be a routine outing for Spurs.

Bryan Gil (RF) – Has not shown the brilliant natural talent he possesses since the arrival of summer, but this is a perfect opportunity to do just that.

Dane Scarlett (ST) – The hugely ranked 17-year-old has been in and out of the first team’s plans this campaign but should be well and truly in Sunday’s cup match.

Share Alli (LF) – Have not enjoyed life on the pitch under Conte so far, but if it’s on song against Morecambe it may be a day to remember for the 25-year-old.
