Europa League Group C comes to a dramatic end on Thursday with all four teams left with a chance to secure qualification for the knockout stage.

Napoli vs Leicester is the outstanding match, where Foxes who travel to Italy are at the top of the pile. In the second game, the basement population Legia Warsaw takes on second-placed Spartak Moscow.

Leicester and Napoli drew 2-2 on match day one, with Wilfred Ndidi seeing red in the final stages. Both teams have several high-profile absentees taking part in the competition, although they will still be desperate to keep their Europa League dream alive.

Napoli are in the middle of an injury crisis with first teams Stanislav Lobotka, Victor Osimhen, Andre-Franck Anguissa, Kalidou Koulibaly, Fabian Ruiz and Lorenzo Insigne all missing for this one.

Luciano Spalletti is also sweating at Kostas Manola’s fitness, with defensive options already scarce.

Brendan Rodgers gave a worrying update on his team’s availability during his pre-match press conference.

He revealed that Leicester are without as many as seven players due to coronavirus or illness before the match. They are: Kelechi Iheanacho, Daniel Amartey, Ayoze Perez, Ademola Lookman, Jannik Vestergaard, Filip Benkovic and Vontae Daley-Campbell.

This makes his team choice something of a mystery with three development players Ben Nelson, Oli Ewing and Kasey McAteer traveling to make up the numbers.

Elsewhere, long-term absence Ricardo Pereira, Wesley Fofana, Youri Tielemans and James Justin remain with injuries.

Unsurprisingly, given Leicester’s recent rise to become European regulars, the clash of the two sides on match day is the only previous meeting between the pair.

An entertaining draw ended 2-2 with the now injured Osimhen taking a stand in the second half to remove goals from Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes.

After the match, there were nasty scenes in the stands and the clubs hope to avoid a repeat of it this time.

A stream of injuries and illnesses in both camps means that neither side is close to full strength on its way into this.

But overall, it must be said that Napoli look all the more affected with most of their backbone – Osimhen, Insigne, Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz – set to watch from the stands.

Leicester also need victory here more than their opponents, with the Foxes already having very little to play for in the Premier League. This extra edge may just be enough to see Brendan Rodger’s side sneak into victory. However, there is no chance that the leaking foxes will keep zero.

Forecast: Napoli 2-3 Leicester
