France qualify for Qatar 2022 World Cup after crushing Kazakhstan 8-0


Defending champions France reached the 2022 World Cup finals with one game remaining after four goals from Kylian Mbappe helped them defeat Kazakhstan 8-0 at home in their Group D qualifier on Saturday .

The result left France at the top of the group with 15 points in seven games, four ahead of second-placed Finland, which they visited in their last game on Tuesday.

Karim Benzema added two goals while Adrien Rabiot and Antoine Griezmann each scored to seal France’s place in next year’s 32-nation tournament in Qatar.
