New migrant center on Greek island of Samos has Wi-Fi and barbed wire

A new migrant camp on the Greek island of Samos that can accommodate up to 3,000 asylum seekers has Wi-Fi, a sports center and playground, as well as barbed wire, security barriers and x-ray scanners.

So far, only 360 people are accommodated there. And the rules are strict: a curfew at 8 p.m. and agree to be under constant surveillance.

The 43 million euro center, hailed as an example for future installations, has been fully funded by the European Union.
