with 3,434 deaths, Spain’s death toll now exceeds that of China
Spain registered 738 additional deaths in the space of a day, according to a report released Wednesday. A figure which brings to 3,434 the number of deaths linked to the coronavirus, raising the number of deaths in Spain above the Chinese balance sheet.
The coronavirus has now killed more in Spain than in China, the cradle of the pandemic. With 3,434 dead, the number of deaths linked to the Covid-19 epidemic in Spain on Wednesday (March 25th) exceeded that of mainland China, according to figures published by the Spanish Ministry of Health.
In the space of 24 hours, Spain recorded 738 additional deaths, an increase of more than 27%.
In total, the country now has 47,160 confirmed cases of contamination, compared to 39,673 the previous day, an increase of almost 19%.
