Say goodbye. Mackenzie McKeeMum, Angie Douthit, died after fighting cancer for two long years on Tuesday April 28, episode of Teen Mom OG, leaving Mackenzie and his family to reunite to fulfill his last wish.
After being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018, Angie’s doctors told her that she didn’t have much time to live, especially since the cancer had spread to the bones and lungs. and that chemotherapy was no longer effective. Mackenzie decided to renew his vow with her husband Josh McKee waiting to spend time with her mother, who was still trying to live her life to the fullest by ziplining and taking advantage of the time she had left.
“Life is difficult and I don’t want you to get cancer,” Angie told Mackenzie. “But when it’s given to you, you have to do your best and become what you always should have been.”
Angie shared that her biggest goal would be to have the house repaid so she wouldn’t leave her husband with a house payment, since it was the last of their debt they had left. After talking to her sister, Mackenzie decided that she wanted to try to raise funds to make this dream come true for her mother, even if Angie seemed to want to make it happen on her own.
Without warning, Angie passed out and ended up in the hospital, and no one knew how much time she had left. Mackenzie went ahead and started his fundraising efforts, and before his death, his family was able to tell Angie that her house was paid for – which seemed to bring her peace in her later days.
Heartbreaking, Mackenzie prepared his son, Gannon, to say goodbye to her grandmother, and Angie lost her battle with cancer, living much longer than doctors had originally planned.
